I have the honor to acknowledge your Circular Despatch of the 13th of June last, informing that Her Majesty had been pleased to appoint a fourth Secretary of State, and directing that no change should be made in the manner of addressing my correspondence, as you will yourself transfer to the Duke of Newcastle, those portions of it which appear more properly to fall under the consideration of the Secretary for War. I have also to acknowledge your Despatch of the 25th of July last, advising the receipt of my Despatches from No 9 to No 28.
