I beg to acknowledge the receipt of your Circular Despatch, of the 9th of August last, directing to be inserted in the Annual Blue Book, such a General Report of the state of Repair &c, of the Government House, of this Colony, the state of the Furniture, and the arrangements under which it is provided, if provided from public funds, as will supply the Secretary of State, with full information on the subject.
I beg in reference to that subjecttoManuscript image to state to you, that no blank copies of the Blue Book, have ever been transmitted to this Colony, from the Colonial office. I am therefore entirely unacquainted with the forms under which such information is usually transmitted. I will however forward the information requested in your Despatch, as soon as it can be prepared.
