I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your Despatch of the 2nd of January last, marked "Confidential," transmitting for my information, Copy of the letter and accompanying paper of instructions, addressed to Captains Prevost and RichardsonManuscript image on their appointment as Her Majesty's Commissioners, to mark out a portion of the boundary line, between the territories of Great Britain and the United States.
