I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt on the 9th Instant, of your Circular Despatch of the 1st of July last, directing that a Return be transmitted of the name of every Bank trading in this Colony, specifying the nature of the liability of the Shareholders, and other particulars relative to such Banks, as set forth in the Resolution of the House of Commons dated the 26th of June last.
I beg in reply to inform youthatManuscript image that no Banks have been established, or are now doing business within the Colony of Vancouver's Island.
