With reference to my desp. of this day's date announcing the appointment of Captians Prevost & Richards to mark out a portion of the boundary line between GB & the United States, I transmit to you (confidentially & for your own information only) copy of the letter & accompanying paper of instructions addressed to those gentlemen by order of Lord Clarendon.
