I have to acknowledge the receipt of your Despatch No 25 of the 20th of October enclosing a copy of a letter from the Commander of the United States Steamer "Massachusetts" requesting your assistance in arresting certain Natives who had murdered an AmericanManuscript image Citizen, and I have to approve the course which you adopted on this occasion.
