I have to acknowledge the receipt of your Despatch No 31 of the 26th of November reporting the arrival of the officer commanding the United States' Naval Forces in Puget's Sound, for the purpose of landing eighty seven Indian Prisoners, and I have to approve the course you adopted on thisManuscript image occasion by declining to allow these men to be landed in the Colony.
