Douglas files a return “with the particulars of information relating to the Maps and plans of Vancouver’s Island” intended for Lord Panmure of the War Office.
The minutes forward to the War Office while retaining a copy for themselves.
Enclosed is the return of the existing maps and plans of Vancouver Island.

In obedience to the instructions contained in your Circular Despatch of the 29th of January last, I have the honor to make herewith the Return, filled up with the particulars of information relating to the Maps and plans of Vancouver's Island, as desired by Lord Panmuir [Panmure], and explained in the accompanying letter from the War Office.
