Itter to Secretary of State
West Street
Horsham, Sussex
Sept 20th 1858
Sir
I have relations residing at Vancouvers Island in the employment of the Hudsons Bay Co and have a desire to join them there. Should you have any place in your gift for that Colony will you kindly allow me to offer myself to your notice. I have been for some years employed as Clerk in a London Banking house and can furnish first class references. I should not object to any situation there, provided there was an opportunity of promotion and would pay my own passage out. My age is 28.
Apologizing for troubling you.
I have the honor to Remain Sir
Your most obedient Servant
Willm Itter
