With reference to your letter of the 19th Inst. transmitting certain tracings of Vancouvers Island, with a request from the Duke of Newcastle that they may be lithographed in the Topographical Department of the War Office.
I am directed by Mr Secretary Herbert to inform you that he has great pleasure in complying with his Grace's request, and that the lithographing of these plans has been commenced in the Topographical Department.
