With reference to Your Circular Despatch of the
23rd July 1860,
respecting the withdrawal of the property of Bavarian Subjects from
thethe British Possessions, I have the honor to acquaint Your Grace that
there is no Colonial Law in
Vancouver Island which would militate
against the Declaration proposed to be exchanged with the Government
of Bavaria to extend the terms of the Declaration of 1836 to all the
British Colonies and Possessions.
