I am directed by the Lords Commissioners of Her Majestys Treasury to acquaint you for the information of the Secretary of State that directions have been given to the Comptroller of the Stationery Office to supply a moderate quantity of Folio Paper to the Governor of Vancouver's Island as requested in your letter of the 5 Inst.

Did not we a long time ago ask Governor Douglas to use writing paper of the ordinary size? Will you be so good as to see when we did it, and whether we did not likewise take some steps to cause him to be provided with the requisite stationery? His overgrown despatches are quite a nuisance.
