I am commanded by my Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to acquaint you for the information of His Grace the Duke of Newcastle that Rear Adml. Sir Thos Maitland, in a letter dated Vancouver's Island 8th August last—No 226—reports that the company of United States Troops on the Island of San Juan, commanded by Captn Pickett, has been replaced by a Company under the command of Captain T.C. English.
