With reference to your letter of the
31st March last, I am directed
by the Lords of the Committee of Privy Council for Trade to state to
you for the information of His Grace the
Duke of Newcastle that the
following stores for the use of the Lighthouses at
Vancouvers Island
have been forwarded to the Governor of that Colony in the ship

A Bill of lading of the stores shipped is enclosed herewith for the
information of the Governor.
I am to add that My Lords will forward in a further letter a
statement of the sums which have been paid for the supply and
shipment of the stores in question in order that the Agents General
may be instructed to repay the amount to the Board of Trade.
If it is desired that insurance should be effected for these stores
My Lords request instructions to that effect, as it is not the
practice of this Department to insure in similar cases.
