I have to acknowledge the receipt of your Despatch N. 8 of the 26th of January last, and to approve the selection you have made of Mr. Cary to fill the office of Attorney General of Van Couver Island.
The usual Warrant of appointment will be forwarded to you as soon as the necessary forms can be completed.
I trust I shall be able to notify you at an early state the appointment of a Successor to Mr. Cary as Attorney General of British Columbia.
