I have the honor to forward herewith to your Grace copy of a
communication I have received this day from the Speaker of the
Legislative Assembly of Vancouver Island enclosing an Address of
Condolence toHer Her Majesty upon the death of His Royal Highness the Prince Consort.
2. The Legislature was not in Session when the sad intelligence first
reached Vancouver Island, which will account for the late period at
which this Address is forwarded.
