Berens to Newcastle
Hudson's Bay House
London
15 April 1862

Arrangements which the Company are obliged to makeatManuscript image at this season of the year render it desirable that the Directors should be informed with as little delay as possible, as to the determination of Her Majesty's Government on the subject, and I trust that this will be my excuse for requesting that your Grace will favour me with an early answer.
I have the honor to be
My Lord Duke
Your Grace's most Obedt Servant
