I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your despatch marked "Separate" of the 29th of March last together with an Address of Condolence to the Queen from the Bishop and Clergy of the United Church of England and Ireland in Vancouver Island and British Columbia.

You will acquaint the authors of the Address that it has been duly laid before The Queen and that Her Majesty has derived much satisfaction from their loyal sympathy and the devout consolation tendered by them to Her in the affliction with which she has been visited by Divine Providence.
