Sir,
I request your attention to the established rule that Laws passed in the Colony under your Government when sent home shall be accompanied by a marginal abstract of each separate clause.
The large number of Colonial enactments which require a more or less minute examination in this Office renders it very inconvenient that rules calculated to facilitate that examination should be neglected.
Observing that in the Colony under your government the marginal abstracts are frequently wanted, I find it necessary to call your attention to the omission, and to request that you will give such directions as will prevent its recurrence.
