In compliance with the instructions contained in Your Graces despatch No 7 of the 24th February last I have the honor to forward herewith an explanation from Mr Watson, the Treasurer of this Colony, of the discrepancy between the Balance of the AccountofManuscript image of Receipts and Disbursements of Imperial Funds in connection with the Island of San Juan &c remaining in hand on the 31ëst December 1861 and the amount brought forward on the 1st January 1862.
