Referring to your letter of the
20th July 1861 transmitting copy of
a despatch from the Governor of
Vancouver's Island respecting the
               Lighthouses erected in
Fucas Straits I am directed by the Lords of
the Committee of Privy Council for Trade to observe that the final
               Accounts
which
which the Governor states in the last paragraph of his
despatch will be forwarded, have not been received in this Office.

As My Lords are unable to settle the Accounts for the erection of
these Lighthouses without the final Accounts from
Vancouver's Island,
I am to request that you will move His Grace the
Duke of Newcastle to
instruct the Governor to cause them to be transmitted to this
               Department as soon as possible.
