I am directed by the Lords of the Committee of Privy Council for Trade to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 6th instant transmitting by desire of the Duke of Newcastle copies of two Acts of the Legislature of Vancouver Island entitled respectively:
"The Harbour Regulation Act 1863" and the "Ports of Entry Act 1863" and in reply I am to request that you will state to His Grace that MyLordsManuscript image Lords see no reason why these Acts should not be left to their operation.
