I have the honor to transmit the copy of a letter received from the President of the California State Telegraph Company.
This letter being handed to me by Mr Gamble, an Officer of that Company I informed him verbally that as Mr Carpentier proposed to communicate directly with you on the subject of his letterIManuscript image I would simply acknowledge its contents.
