Sir,
I have the honor to transmit copies of two letters from the Lighthouse Board suggesting that six ruby shades for Fisgard Lighthouse be procured from England and to request that the necessary steps may be taken for sending them to this Colony in the manner proposed with as little delay as possible.

I also enclose a Requisition for certain stores for the use of the Lighthouses in this Colony with which I beg to request the Crown Agents for the Colonies may be instructed to comply.

Edmund Hope Verney, Secretary to the Lighthouse Board, to Acting Colonial Secretary, 15 March 1865, ordering six new ruby glass shades for Fisgard Lighthouse, all but one shade from previous shipments arriving broken, and detailing the manner in which the new shades should be shipped to the colony.
