I have the honor to transmit a Deed authorizing the Bishop of Columbia to occupy a portion of the Church Lands as a residence and to request you will procure the signature of His Grace The Archbishop of Canterbury to the same.

The Land Board has had to do with this matter, & prepared the Deed & I think we might refer these papers to that Office & enquire if this instrument is all right, before obtaining the sigre of the Achbishop of Canterbury. The previous correspondence has been searched for, & is not to be found up stairs: nor does anybody seem to know where it can be.
