Sir,
I have the honor to transmit the copy of a Resolution presented to me by a Deputation from the Chamber of Commerce of Vancouver Island on the subject of a Treaty for reciprocal commercial intercourse between the United States and the several Provinces of British NorthAmericaManuscript image America.
I have only to add that the execution of such a Treaty and its extension to this and the neighbouring Colony would be calculated to promote their best interests.
