Sir,
Referring to your letters of the 16th April 1864 and 23rd Febry last, and also to the letters from this Department of the 6th January and 18th May last, I am directed by the Lords of the Committee of Privy Council for Trade, to transmit to you the enclosed statement of Expenses incurred by the Board of Trade in respect of the Lighthouses at Vancouvers Island amounting to £302.10.1, and to request that you will move MrManuscript image Secretary Cardwell to cause the Crown Agents for the Colonies to pay that sum to H.M. Paymaster General to be credited to the vote for Lighthouses Abroad.
