With reference to your letter of the 15th ultimo transmitting a requisition for Lighthouse Stores for Vancouvers Island, I am to state that these stores have been forwarded in the ship "Severn" and to request that you will move Mr Secretary Cardwell to cause the enclosed Bill of Lading to be forwarded to the Governor of Vancouvers Island.
I am also to request that the Governor may be informed that each of the Ruby Glass Shades sent via Panama and by the "Severn" have been made in two pieces of thicker glass in order to ensure as much as possible their safe conveyance.
