I have the honor to acknowledge your Despatch, No. 82 of the 8th of October, reporting the resignation of Mr. Pemberton the Surveyor General, and the provisional appointment of Mr. Pearse to act in that capacity, with a Salary made up to Five hundred pounds (£500) per annum.
I have also receivedyourManuscript image your Despatch No. 110 of the 24th of December, communicating your selection of Mr. Tidwell to be Acting Assistant Surveyor in the room of Mr. Pearse.
