Sir,
I have the honor to inform you that having found it necessary to visit New Westminster on the 5th instant, I made application to the Senior Naval Office who placed Her Majesty's Ship "Sparrowhawk" at my disposal for that purpose.

I have given the naval certificate to enable Captain Porcher, commanding the "Sparrowhawk," to recover the usual allowance for my entertainment for two days.
