Sir,
I have the honor to acquaint you that I have received from the Board of Admiralty a copy of a letter dated the 24th of January last from Captain Turnour of Her Majesty's Ship "Clio" reporting his proceedings against Indians at Fort Rupert in December last.

I have received no information from you on this subject, but as a general rule I should wish any proceedings of this nature should be reported to me without fail as the occur.
