arabiaArabia, 1853-?
According to this document, arabiaArabia was a mail packet ship. It was part of the Cunard Line, as this short article, presented
verbatim, from the British Colonist confirms:
Mrs. Putnam, a colored Boston woman, who was badly treated on board the Europa, on
the voyage to England, and wrote a letter to Samuel Cunard complaning of it, returned
on the Arabia and had every comfort purchased by her passage money.1
Likely, this was the arabiaArabia constructed in 1853, which served as a Crimean War transport.2
