Tremenheere appears in the enclosures of
this document; his mother writes a memorial to the Royal Navy which includes a request for an appointment
for Tremenheere. Included are three
1857 letters of reference from the Admiralty which outlined his exemplary service as a
temporary clerk for the Accountant General of the Navy.
