Sir,
I am commanded by the Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty, to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 15th inst, 1 respecting the Stores about to Accompany the Royal Engineers proceeding to British Columbia; and to acquaint you, for the information of Secretary Sir E.B. Lytton, that the necessary steps have been taken accordingly.
