I have the honor to submit to you verified copies of Testimonials both as to my services in Austria and in England; and venture again to solicit some direct appointment from the Home Government—orManuscript image that you will be pleased to recommend me in such a manner to the Governor of the Colony, that I may rely with some certainty upon obtaining, on arrival, some suitable appointment, equivalent to the position I hitherto occupied—being entirely without means, I should be running very great risk by going out on the mear chance of obtaining anManuscript image appointment.
Hoping that the enclosed Testimonials may be found sufficiently satisfactory and that you will be pleased to take my application into your most favorable consideration.
