I am commanded by my Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to send you herewith for the information of Her Majesty’s Secretary of State for Colonial Affairs, an Extract from a letter dated the 27th August last, No 120, from Rear Adml Baynes reporting the arrival at Vancouver's Island of the Detachment of Sappers & Miners to be employed in the Survey of the Land portion of the Oregon Boundary.
