Sir,
I have duly received your Despatch of the 17th November last No 44, transmitting to me the Queens Warrant for appointing Captain Gosset to be Treasurer for British Columbia.
2. Captain Gosset was dulyManuscript imageduly installed in the office of Treasurer on the 4th Instant, under the authority of your Despatch of the 29th October last No 31, and as reported in my Despatch of the 5th Instant No 67.
3. The instructions respecting the repayment of the sum of Thirty Shillings Stamp Duty, will be carried out upon the return of Captain Gosset from detached service with the Force in Frasers River.
