The minutes note that most CO expenses have been incurred by “Sappers & Miners” and
that they are waiting on their bill from the War Office which will likely include
expenses for transportation by sea.
Included in this document is a statement from Paymaster General of all advances made
to any persons on account of
British Columbia out of Treasury Chest, showing a total of £10,522.8.6, dated
22 January 1859; and a statement from Paymaster General of all advances made to any persons on account
of
British Columbia out of civil contingencies, showing a total of £789.17.4.
