I have the honor to inform your Grace that I have authorized the Treasurer to procure by Bills on Her Majesty's Paymaster General the sum of Three Thousand Pounds (£3000), being in round numbers Manuscript image numbers the amount required for the Colonial Pay of the Troops for the quarter ending 30 June and to meet which there are no funds in the Colonial Chest; and I trust your Grace will be pleased to obtain the necessary authority from the Lords Commissioners of the Treasury for the Bills Manuscript image Bills presented on this account to be paid, when they become due.
