I have the honor to enclose herewith for your Grace's approval, copy of a communication from the Treasurer of British Columbia requesting that certain articles required for the Assay Office may be procured by the Agents General Manuscript image General for the Colonies and forwarded to this Colony by the first Ship.

I suppose that these articles must be ordered. But as we have no funds at our disposal here out of which such payments can be met I should recommend that the Governor be instructed to provide us with the means of defraying the Expenditure on all occasions on which he may employ this Office to procure goods for B. Columbia service.
