Abstract
Despatch to London. Minutes (2), Enclosures (untranscribed) (1), Other documents (1).
Douglas writes to Newcastle to forward British Columbia's revenue statements for the half-years ending June 30, in 1860 and 1861, respectively.
The minutes ask that a copy Douglas's despatch be sent to the treasury, and observe that the “Assay fees” are less than expected.
The first of the two documents included in the file is Douglas's comparative financial statements for “the Colony;” the second is a draft letter from Elliot to Hamilton, which forwards a copy of Douglas's despatch and enclosure.

The Land sales will probably revive now that purchases may be made at 4/2 per Acre.
The Assay fees are much less than I expected, & I think, than the amount the Governor gave us reason to hope for when the Dt was established.
