In reply to your letter of the 19 Inst, I am directed by the Lords Commissioners of Her Majestys Treasury to acquaint you for the information of the Duke of Newcastle that under the circumstances represented by the Governor of British Columbia Their Lordships are of opinion that the proceedings taken by him, for raising money for the construction of Roads, may be approved, and that the Proclamations—No 1 Spuzzem Road Bonds Act 1860; and No 2 Shimilkomeen Road Bonds Act 1860, may be sanctioned;TheirManuscript image Their Lordships see no objection to the Proclamation No 3 Customs Amendment Act 1860.
