I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your Despatch No 151, 28 November last forwarding a copy of a Memorial from Mrs Sophia Elizabeth Cox, the wife of Mr William G. Cox, a Stipendiary Magistrate in British Columbia representing that herHusbandManuscript image Husband had emigrated to British Columbia, leaving her without the necessary means of subsistence.
I had previously received a similar Memorial from Mrs Cox, which I forwarded to her husband with remarks of a like character contained in Your Grace's Despatch. I will now communicate Your Grace's instructions to Mr Cox, and will report to you further what may be done in the matter.
