Mrs William G. Cox begs to state that on 28th April
last she received an order for 9£14s2d. Would have written to acknowledge same, had she known who to address, as she
had no communication from her husband since the letter came,
presumes it was sent through the Government, begs to express
her thanks, even for so small a sum, wishes to enquire if

of the Rector of the Parish in which she resides.

Answer Mrs Cox as proposed.
But as I can see that in April last we received a promise
from Govr Douglas to let us hear further from Mr Cox, and nothing further has come, write him a reminder and say that
the Governor must insist
on Mr Cox's making some provision for
his wife and sending his remittances punctually, or else must
dismiss him from the Public Service. The Secy of State looks
to Govr Douglas to see that Mr Cox does not trifle with the
matter.
