Sir,
I have the honor to transmit copy of the depositions taken before Mr Brew, Police Magistrate of New Westminster, in regard to the plundering of the English schooner "Nanaimo Packet"withinManuscript image within the waters of this Colony.
2. The Tako Indians who committed the outrage reside within the Russian limits. I shall therefore write to the Governor of New Archangel when an opportunity shall present itself for conveying my letter.
3. The Government of this Colony has no means of protecting its coast.
