Having laid before my Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty your Letter of the 2nd inst. I am commanded by their Lordships to acquaint you that their Lordships have no objection to Lieut. P.J. Hankin retaining his appointment of Superintendent of Police at Victoria, Vancouver's Island for one year.
