No. 24
21st March 1866
Sir,
With reference to your despatch No. 94 of 16th December, I have the honor to forward a Copy of a Report from the Auditor General explaining the reasons which have hitherto caused the delay in bringing theManuscript image Revenue received by Collectors to account.
2. The subject, you will observe has already received the attention of this Government. The complete system of keeping the accounts as required by the "Instructions to Governors of Colonies," was adopted in May 1865. This will, I trust, prevent the recurrence of these delays.
I have the honor to be,
Sir,
Your most obedient humble Servant
