I have had the honor to receive Your Grace's despatch No. 103 of the 31st December 1867, informing me that a Bill for £1,500, drawnbyManuscript image by the Governor and Treasurer of Vancouver Island for pay for the Marines stationed at San Juan had been paid.
2. Your Grace remarks that you expected some information from me on the subject. I beg to say that I do not know how the omission of communicating with Your Grace took place, but I will see that regular notice, infutureManuscript image future, accompanies every Bill drawn for the purpose alluded to.
