With reference to previous correspondence I am directed by Lord Stanley to transmit to you, for the information of the Duke of Buckingham and Chandos, a copy of a despatch from Her Majesty's Chargé d'Affaires at Washington, forwarding a copy of a Resolution which has been presented to the United States Senate, in regard to the joint occupation of the island of San Juan, by the forces of Her MajestyandManuscript image and of the United States.
