Sir,
I am commanded by My Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to acquaint you, for the information of Earl Granville, that a Letter has been received from Rear Adml The Hon. G. Hastings, dated the 10th Novr/68 No. 201, in which he states, that he had made arrangements with His Excellency Governor Seymour, for affording assistance in Case ofanyManuscript image any Fenian Attempt being made on the Colony, and had despatched the "Forward" Gun Boat to remain in the Harbour of Victoria, for the present, to aid the Civil Power in Case of Emergency.
